Malphite top weird auto attacks...

I used to play Malphite in the jungle before his top lane buffs and now that I play him top I have noticed his auto attacks deal damage before they should so csing is kind of a pain in the ass. His autos deal damage before the animation reaches the minion.

Maybe it is just me but it really really throws me off.
