People still drop hacking in League?

Winning lane, get ganked and all the sudden I hit 500 ping, I die. 35 ping. 5 times in a row, then once I am 1/5 from being 1/0, I stop lagging magically. Even if it was my internet, there's a minute chance it happened perfectly at this moment every gank, then never after that.
