Games are won and lost in champ select

I'm not referring to trolls either. In recent weeks I have lost dozens of games because of poor team comps. This is nothing new, but it is getting a little repetitive. Mechanical skill and in game judgements are equally important as having a team that actually functions. For example I locked in a first pick orianna a few games ago. I felt that she was an extremely safe pick no matter what my team played. That was followed up by a top lane riven, an ashe adc and a nami support. Our last pick who had asked for jungle locked in a rengar. Of course in game he built glass cannon rengar. This coupled with the fact that neither he nor riven were willing to dive the back line meant that my shockwave could only trigger on on target at a time. We got crushed.

For the record I am not complaining about these players in game skills, but rather trying to draw attention to the importance of communication and flexibility. If you are going to play a specific champion let people know in champ select. If you are not sure, then fill in with what your team needs. If you need to deviate from your build path to fill in team weaknesses you should do it. These things shouldn't have to be said. They are not only common courtesy, but common sense. I will do the same for you.

You can choose to ignore this. But there of plenty more fun, exciting and interesting ways to lose a game then not throwing in champ select.
