The term "tilt" or "tilted" suddenly started to be used by everyone, constantly. Just a few months ago ive never heard that word before, or if i did i didnt care to translate properly. Ofc after so much encounter lately, im able to interpret its relative meaning, but can anyone give an exact definition of what players playing league put into it? Its kinda getting overused and annoying already, just like the memes flooding around, it seems that everyone is tilted and im getting tilted of it ^^

Tilting, or rather, nudging, is something a player can do to influence the movement of the ball in a pinball machine. It's an old term that came from old arcade pinball machines. It basically means poking.

When someone is tilted, they are basically saying that someone or something is annoying them to the point of making mistakes.

"You do bad. You get mad. You become sad.

You do worse.

You do extra bad. You get extra mad. You become extra sad.

You go 0/18/0."

Tilt is a poker term for a state of mental or emotional confusion or frustration in which a player adopts a less than optimal strategy, usually resulting in the player becoming over-aggressive. This term is closely associated with steam and some consider the terms equivalent, but 'steam' typically carries more anger and intensity.[1]

Placing an opponent on tilt or dealing with being on tilt oneself is an important aspect of poker. It is a relatively frequent occurrence due to frustration, animosity against other players, or simply bad luck. Experienced players recommend learning to recognize that one is experiencing tilt and avoid allowing it to influence one’s play.

The metaphor here being over-aggression due to frustration leads to severely detrimental gameplay.
