Better Champion to pick?

Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to league but have been enjoying it greatly.

So recently I made Silver II after my provisional and I've been trying to work my way up to the Gold Tier. I currently have about 3,600 IP to spend and I am not sure if I should save up for a new champion or spend it on runes. I tend to stay in the Mid Lane and Jg more often then not.

I am looking to save up for Volibear Volibear which would mean I need another 1,200 IP. My other choices which I can already afford right now are Pantheon Pantheon , Nidalee Nidalee , or Udyr Udyr , and Veigar Veigar together. What would you guys suggest?

Udyr or Voli, both of them are rather easy to learn. Udyr is easy to learn but hard to master imo, Veigar can only be used properly in specific situations. Pantheon falls off hard and Nidalee is high skill cap for new players. If you play Jungle often, Udyr and Voli is an excellent pick for you. I would also suggest you give Trundle a try, he can be a key pick if the enemy team has a composition built for engage.

Also, i specifically hate Pantheon as a champion. He has such a low skill cap, easy to master and so many weaknesses. His is a lane bully, it makes it not even a fun game to lane against him in complete and total honesty. He is a greed pick, does not offer much at all to the team with the exception of a very weak form of CC and some early game damage. He falls off late game, meh . . .

I also suggest these champions too

Lulu Nautilus Vi XinZhao Olaf Hecarim JarvanIV Jax Jayce

Be careful with Olaf, if you pick him into a team with more then 1 gap closer you will not make much progress at all, especially against MOST adc's in the current meta, Mid laners in the meta, Top laners in the meta . . . okay i'm just going to have to say any meta champions.
