What happens after reporting a griefer?

A Rengar in our game was jungling, and about 15 minutes in (with our team in the lead) the LB asked if she could have blue, to which the Rengar replied "I don't give blue to losing lanes". It was downhill from there, and the Rengar griefed by staying in the jungle and split-pushing (without going all the way to the towers). It was quite unbelievable, honestly, and I just can't get through my head how someone can be so childish. We eventually lost because Rengar did not participate in a single teamfight for the remainder of the game.

I reported both of them because the LB kept on fighting with him instead of leaving him alone. I put the Rengar on mute and asked the LB to please stop so we can play the game.

What does Riot typically do about these situations? There's no more Tribunal and the only programs that are public is the leaver buster and the new quick-turn punishment system that focuses on raging and negative language.

And is there any way to contact Riot for follow-up? In my mind, this Rengar should have a temporary (but long-term) ban for this conduct. If there is nothing done then what in the world am I doing with my time and money here? I spend 20 bucks every few months to buy some new skins and what not, and you know I just expect more out of a brand.

Nothing will be done, the current system only does something for toxic/negative reports. Since there is no tribunal, the other reports are just lost in limbo until a riot decides they are bored and wants to take a look at it. It is just best to report all players for toxic or negative for the time being until riot can seem to get a good useable system back online like the tribunal, where players actually controlled the punishments. Riot doesn't care, they know you will continue to spend money, they make 100 million + a year and that won't stop cause trollers will pay and so will you. They don't even look at reports anymore, they just let an automated system handle it, they say it clearly they won't undo any ban or even look at them to see if someone needs a ban.

um its not against any rule to avoid teamfights and split push. its a viable strategy. what do you think should happen to someone who broke no rules?
