Uninstalling League of Legends

The only reason i ever played this game was that it was fun and a distraction from the real world... My mom had just passed away when i started and League filled that void as after playing my very first game i wanted to make something of it for my life... I wanted to gt really good and become an LCS player... I wanted to play 40-60 hours a week just to accomplish this goal... But for me, these last few months i am starting to think that there is a reason 70% of players never make it out of bronze or silver... I want to say that this is just a theory but i think i have it right based on what i have heard and seen. Riot is a free game meaning that the way they make their money id off of merch and how many people play the game. People who sponsor League, pay them a certain amount for the amount of people that log on an play. So... if everyone who was good enough to climb, climbed out of bronze and started getting good teams more often they could play the game less as their goals are being a achieved. At first i would think this was just odd and nonsense but i have run into people who won 8-10 and 9-10 placement games and still ended up in Bronze 3-5. This is not fair but now because those players know they might deserve better they play this game non stop till they climb out. And that climb, between all the flamers and the feeders and the AFK's and the 0-10 toxic junglers is nigh impossible to do on your own. add in the fact that you could randomly get filled to support or ADC or anywhere for that matter that are not a part of your two main roles and you have a huge stumbling stone. The League i used to play, anyone could win at anytime and no game was ever set in stone. You could do badly and still had a team to rally behind you when times were tough and not flame you or tilt themselves and the rest of the team off planet earth. It was worth playing because i didn't get a win one lose one scenario and LP was better on the earning end. Now this game just makes me mad. When i do bad i can accept that but when i do really well and my team is just shit or one player is shit on my team and they tilt everyone else, or i do shit and even though i know i will have a better mid late game, my team tilts themselves... These are the things that ruin this game for me now. It no longer brings me joy, it no longer makes me happy because 70& of this God forsaken Toxic community shatter earth and dreams every day and Riot doesn't seem to care as much as they should in my opinion. I mean in the end i'm a small fish in a huge pond anyway so why should they care? Why will any of you care? in the end no one will read this and say anything nice or helpful and none of you will give a damn. This is supposed to be a team Game. We as a community a team of players. Matches with good sportsmanship and reasonable banter are now replaced by Toxic 12 year olds and man children with baby rage... Sportsmanship in this game is dead... So is team value and everything else it was built on and Riot could care less as the wallets get bigger every year. They could care less that i am the only one on my friends list of 200 that wants to go to LCS and has a passion and drive for it enough to cry sometimes about a loss... No one believes in me except me and that would normally be enough but i am out of steam and this train has gotta stop... I know i wish i would see words of helpfulness and encouragement on the responses of this post... something to drive me forward... But more then likely i will see ridicule and hateful shunning words tossed about by candy. I will hope for the best but expect the worst... Anyway... Yeah that's how i'm feeling right now....

I mean, 30% of the plays can indeed climb out of Bronze/Silver, how do you think they do it?

If you want to make it to the top, you have to put in the time, not just in league, but you need to study the game too.

My advice for avoiding any negative interactions with the community is to play with friends. Flex queue allows you to queue up and climb as 5, which I myself really like. If you don't have friends to climb with, you can always meet some good people in games and add them, or check the section of the boards where people are looking for players/advertising their gaming communities.

Other than that, turning off all chat can be a huge help. I like to keep it on in case the enemy team has some nice people on it, but several of my friends leave it off because "there's practically nothing to be benefited from by leaving it on".

Playing with a group of players you trust and enjoy, and turning all chat off can make league a much more enjoyable experience by getting rid of a huge amount of potential toxicity. And please don't be so quick to judge the community so harshly. I myself have played with tons of unsportsmanlike players, but I still know there are some great players in this community (part of why I like to keep all chat on).

I'm glad the first thing you did after your mother passed was play a video game. That's cool?
