Anime recommendations?

Alrighty, I need to make a super nerdy post here.

So, I've gotten totally addicted to anime. They have humor that you couldn't get away with in America (thanks SJWs), and they have a lot of character development (I always cry / laugh at movies, books and whatnot, but better character development makes me actually feel things, which is nice, and only a few shows / movies / books can do that), which you don't see in something r%%%%%ed like Adventure Time or Regular Show.

Anyway, I need some new ones to watch, since I watched everything in my little list I put together. Instead of just listing off all kinds of things I like and dislike, I'll just copy my list I had which has little notes (if I say "feels" that means making me laugh, cry or generally feel emotions -- and anxiety refers to my anxiety getting bad because of a lot of death talk and depressing plot).

But, I like romance, I like slice of life, I like adventures, I don't like gore and a ton of over the top violence, and I don't like a lot of death / morbid talk. I also don't really like semi-hentai, but I can ignore the pervy bits if the show is actually good.

Anyway, list!

Amagi Brilliant Park -- Really weird, kind of pervy in the beginning, but turns into an awesome show

Amaama to Inazuma -- Cute, but kind of generic

The Devil is a Part Timer -- Funny, not as dark as it sounds, but no real ending -- season 2 maybe?

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou) -- Amazing, lots of feels, cried like a girl on more than one occasion

Toradora -- Amazing story, lots of feels, one of my favorites.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (My little monster) -- Lots of feels, happy anime, but ending is weak - continues in the manga

Baka and Test -- Hilarious and cutesy, lots of feels, happy all the way through.

Is it wrong to try to pick up a girl in a dungeon? -- Great, some feels and hilarious. No ending.

Chobits -- Cutesy story, some feels

DearS -- funny, a lot like Chobits

Heaven's Lost Property -- hilarious, but pervy

Full Metal Panic -- didn't like it at all

Plastic Memories -- feels central

Rosario Vampire -- hilarious but pervy

No Game No Life -- super funny, great story, but no ending -- light novels

Monster Musume -- Super slutty, but hilarious -- anxiety sets in later

Re:Zero -- Amazing. Funny and feels at the same time, but very dark and a lot of anxiety

Jitsu wa Watashi wa (Actually, I am...) -- Laughed harder than I've laughed in a long time, decent story, cute ending.

Seto no Hanayome -- Stupidly funny, not very serious, but still good. Nice ending.

Seven Deadly Sins -- Super funny, sad at parts, but overall good

Date a Live -- Funny, cute, ending is a bit lacking

Working!! -- Funny the whole way through, had me tear up on multiple occasions, overall really good. Good ending too.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! -- A little anxiety, kind of like Re;Zero, but turns into an awesome show. Weak ending though.

Eromanga-sensei -- Adorable as all hell, decent story, and some feels. Funny the whole way through, but had a weak ending. Hopefully a season 2!

Chuunibyou (not done watching, finished S1) -- Adorable, some feels, absurdly funny

So, looking at that, any recommendations? I don't care if there's a dub or not, I actually prefer subs.

If you want something happy and uplifting, try Ano Hana, Grave of the Fireflies, or Texhnolyze.

  • FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: The single best piece of animation out there imo, outstanding AND constant quality for over 60 episodes, absolutely amazing. In my personal top 5.

  • Hunter x Hunter (2011): Close second, while overall FMA:B is of a higher quality, one of HxH arc completely surpasses it. In my personal top 5.

  • Black Lagoon: Action packed, incredibly enthralling, even if i thought it wouldn’t be my kind of anime, I was captivated.

  • Mawaru Penguindrum: Very confusing at first, but things start to make sense as you watch and learn new things about the characters’ past. Exceptional quality. In my personal top 5.

  • Princess Tutu: Might seems childish and girly at first, but has a really good and emotional story. In my personal top 5.

  • Perfect Blue: Revered by many actually familiar with japanese animation as the best anime movie put out there. In my personal top 5.

  • Paprika: Very similar to Perfect Blue, but a bit more light hearted. Amazing animation.

  • Paranoia Agent: By the same direct as the two titles above. If you liked those movies, you will like this series.

  • Gunbuster: One of the most, if not the most iconic anime from the 80’s, for a good reason.

  • Neon Genesis Evangelion: Granted it’s extremely overrated, it’s very good nonetheless. Gunbuster paved the way for it, I’d recommend watching NGE before Gunbuster.

  • Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou: 110% stupid, but fun shit

  • Katte ni Kaizou: 220% stupid, but fun shit

  • Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei: 330% stupid, but fun shit. Watch before Katte ni Kaizou for a nice surprise.

  • Osomatsu-san: Stupid, but fun shit: the animation

Alright I'll stop there or I'm gonna end up putting 50 titles LOL

Coming in this Summer Season: Kakegurui. Hopefully the anime does the manga justice.

Completed: Even though some say the "ending" was weak, I'd recommend Gangsta.

Baccano! is one of my personal favourites. While it does contain gore, violence and death, the characters (and interactions) are fantastic and hilarious. I'm not sure if I would recommend you watch it (due to your mention of anxiety above), but it might be worth attempting.

D-Frag! is a zany school comedy (somewhat like Baka to Test). It was fantastic.

Acchi Kocchi is a cute slice-of-life romance. Honestly, it is just fluffy and adorable.

Seitokai Yakuindomo is a comedy almost entirely based around perverse humour. Despite that, it is very light on fanservice and relies primarily on dialogue/innuendo/puns.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is a romantic comedy in which a girl develops a crush on one of her classmates, who she later discovers is a shoujo mangaka. To help get close to him, she begins helping him with his series (drawing backgrounds, attempting to act out 'standard' shoujo scenes, etc).

Lucky Star. An older slice of life comedy resolving primarily around random discussions and references to other anime/manga/light novels/games.

Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. (Yet another) romantic comedy. Tsukiko is hilarious.

Let me know if you enjoy them.

If you want, I could probably try to dig up more recommendations.

Note: I suck at summaries.

baccano for something like re:zero both uplifting and depressing.(warning ending leaves off at about book 3 of 20) Steins;gate for some great time travel hijinks(think chunnibyou meets re:zero). If you liked WAWAWA and devil is a part timer i'd recommend maid dragon and alice and zoroku

Yuyushiki - Slice of life comedy, very funny and random.

D-Frag - Slice of life comedy, very different humor from Yuyushiki's.

Pandora Hearts - Very, very confusing at first, good action, lowkey romance, all-around good, things get cleared up a bit at the end.

Acchi Kocchi - Very cute slice of life; worth watching 100%.

Angel Beats! - Extremely sad, on the level of Plastic Memories, but worth a watch.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun - Slice of life comedy about a girl with a crush on a manga artist, and their friends/acquaintances, definitely worth a watch.

Elemental Gelade - Really cool idea, put together well, good characterization and action, no gore.

My Hero Academia - Interesting show, unique artstyle, good action, excellent characterization.

Charlotte - Pacing was really random, and some pretty big plotholes, but very emotional and with decent characterization. Not on the top of my recommendations list, but worth giving a go.

A Certain Magical Index/A Certain Scientific Railgun - a bit of fanservice in the first seasons of each, but they get really good later on. Chronological order would be Railgun season 1, Railgun OVA, Railgun season 2 and Index season 1, Index season 2, and the movie. You can probably look up a more detailed chronology online, but do keep in mind that Index spoils some of Railgun's primary plot points, so just be careful of that.

Kyoukai no Kanata - #1 recommendation. Really a must-watch. I rate this one 10/10; just give it a little time. Really all-around amazing plot, characterization, pacing, and art.

Akame ga Kill - Very gory, so stay away if that's a no-go. Quite a bit of lowkey fanservice. Very good plot and characterization, unexpected ending. Worth a shot.

Hitsugi no Chaika - Cute and somewhat funny, though serious at times. Sort of an adventure. Solid recommendation from me.

Kokoro Connect - Slice of life. Sort of comedy, somewhat serious at times. Very emotional sometimes. I didn't enjoy the final arc much, but it's worth a watch.

Tokyo Ravens - Somewhat cringe-worthy at times, but the characterization is pretty good and the magic system and story line are great.

Psycho-Pass - Tons of gore. Really amazing characterization, decent story.

Heavy Object - Cute in a weird way, very interesting. Sort of mecha-based action.

Owari no Seraph - Interesting, good story, good characterization. All-around pretty good.

Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete - I'd rate this above Plastic Memories for being emotional, like way above. I still think back on it and get emotional sometimes. Worth watching, but be prepared.

A-Channel - Slice of life comedy, very cute.

Anne Happy - Another cute slice of life comedy, probably funnier than most others.

Another - Strange sort-of-slice of life. Very serious, sort of psychological horror. Quite a bit of gore.

Dagashi Kashi - kind of perverted-misunderstanding sort of humor, through words and not actions. If you liked Amagi Brilliant Park, you'll probably enjoy this one.

Date A Live - Somewhat inappropriate, not explicit. Very funny and interesting, worth a watch for sure.

Dimension W - Really, really good. Awesome story and characterization. Definitely watch this one.

GJ-bu - Slice of life comedy, really good.

Haiyori! Nyaruko-san - Really strange slice of life comedy sort-of thing about Chthonics or however it's spelled.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Tons of gore, psychological horror. Confusing story throughout all of season 1, but season 2 cleared everything up. An ending worth thinking long and hard about.

Himouto! Umaru-chan - Slice of life comedy. Good characterization, unique characters, and interesting art.

Log Horizon - Action fantasy, no gore. Good comedy.

Noragami - Action urban fantasy. A little bit of non-human gore. Pretty good in general. Nice art.

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry - "Battle school" trope done right. Probably worth watching, depending on your preferences.

Servant x Service - Slice of life comedy. This one's great. Definitely worth watching.

Tokyo Ghoul - First season's great, second season's okay. Good art, lots of gore, good characterization in the first season which falls apart in the second season. The manga is 10 times better and you should definitely read it.

These are in no particular order.

Osomatsu-san is all you need.

If you want an actual in-depth recommendation list, I can make one, but please do check them out, making such a list would be time consuming, and I'd be fine with doing it knowing I got someone else into good anime.

If you want something really cheery with a lot of dark humorous undertones, try Assassination Classroom. The synopsis is; They are assassins, their target, is their teacher. Their teacher is a weird yellow octopus thing that blew up the moon, and is threatening to do the same to earth in exactly one year, until then he's their teacher. So naturally the government steps in and trains the class to be assassins, and task them with killing their teacher, the opening scene has him taking attendance while the hole class lets bullets fly at him, he dodges every single one, it's hilarious, has some awesome twists, and is extremely funny. Oh and for The Devil is a Part Timer, try reading the manga, it goes further than the anime, which also has adorable things up it's sleeve, and while if you got that reference MAJOR SPOILER, you almost definitely didn't get it so it's fine.
