Tips for getting out of Bronze. (Finally made it!)
I finally made the climb out of Bronze, in mostly SoloQ. From Bronze 4 all the way to Silver...
It's literally one of the greatest feelings I've had playing a video game. Imagine beating that Dark Souls boss that you've been stuck on for the past week. It's like that.
I know Silver isn't really all that different, probably worse sometimes, but it feels so good to get there before the end of the season. It at least gives me a nice starting point for next season.
The road ahead of me is tough for my Gold goals, but with practice and dedication I think I can make it.
TIPS
-
Play what you know, limit your champion pool. Master 2-3 champions for different roles, and have comfort picks ready.
-
Don't be "that guy". Everyone makes mistakes, don't play the blame game unless it's on yourself. You can always improve. Learn from your mistakes, and don't be toxic.
-
Don't expect to win every game, it's pretty much impossible. Learn to lose, and learn from your losses.
-
LEARN TO CS!!! This is still one of my issues, 5-7 cs/m is usually what I average. Which is terrible. Try to get at least 9cs/m. Getting kills isn't the only way to get fed.
-
Objectives > kills.
-
Map awareness is so important, be sure to read your map every 4-6 seconds. Not just look at it, understand it.
-
Practice, practice, practice!
-
Learn the game! Power spikes, itemization, etc..
-
Lastly, don't depend on your team. You will have to carry your way out.
This is mostly all I can help you with, but if anyone has anything to add definitely let me know in the comments!
