AFK's and the Surrender Feature

I've always wondered why a team had (or has) to face off against a team that is by far way better complete that the other. It's hard on the side that would rather just quit than have to continue watching themselves get beat up. It also leads to most players verbally abusing the one that seems to do the worst. But, it gets even harder if a team has a AFK (or more). Its not that I want the AFK to have anything happened to them, but even if something did, it won't stop others from happening. There must be a compensation. The only way to stop a team from bullying another with a "easy win" is the surrender button, yet it takes 20 minutes for that button to even be usable. Here's what I've always wished to happen; • If a team has a AFK, they're surrender feature gets – 5 minutes from the original 20. – Now it will be easier if they realize they're just going to lose to be able to surrender faster. – For each AFK, the surrender feature gains – 5 minutes. – If all of AFK, the game (obviously) is then given to the other team as a sign of forfeit. • The time limit for others should be brought down as well. • Twisted Treeline's surrender feature should be 12 minutes. – It will subtract 6 minutes for every AFK. • Crystal Scar doesn't usually last more that 25 minutes, so a surrender at 20 would sound ridiculous. – It should be 15 minutes and – 5 for every AFK since you will lose with just 1 AFK. – If there are only 2 players against 5, its an automatic forfeit. • Howling Abyss would seem to be shorter than others but, it actually usually takes 30 minutes to complete. – Therefore, like Summoners Rift, it should just subtract down by 5 for every AFK.

This gives players more mercy than turmoil. Sure, it would be nice if a enemy team would have a mercy win kind of tool, but the logic around it is... difficult to understand. And I'm sure it will be hardly ever used since they like to (and I can vouch since I too do it) just run around and do nothing if they are just killing us.

I can't say that Late Game champions aren't fun, but its only if I can get them there that matters. And no matter what anyone says, Early Game is the most crucial part of any game. It says who is better up front, it gives the winner more CS and EXP for later use. Its what gets someone fed, and another the feeder. I would rather a AFK not ruin my match. I don't know what happened to them; whether they are lagging, their computer went off, they're wifi is bad, or something else. What matters is not their punishment but how to help those from having a bad game because of it.
