An average "dynamic queue" critique

My wife and I have been playing for League for a few years now, and have had some amazing times with friends and strangers alike. It's been a wild ride for sure, and we don't have much to complain about.

Through the years we've seen a lot of improvement, most changes for the better. One of our favorite changes was the team builder. The team builder was a fantastic system, the games started immediately, we could fit in 45 minute games around our work schedules, and you were practically guaranteed the champion you wanted to play in any role.

The dynamics of the game totally changed for us with the release of team builder, we were able to try experimental combinations normally not available to us, explore different lane options, and made for a very casual feeling style of gameplay, which is far more catering to our play styles. We even stopped attempting to climb the ladder in ranked, as we were having far more fun in team builder.

With the recent removal of team builder and addition of this dynamic queue, we have been finding ourselves extremely frustrated, often times having to abandon games due to long queue times, or people leaving during the all ready vastly time consuming champion select. Toxic gameplay is far more prevalent, and very strangely we seem to find ourselves fighting what would appear to be 5 man pre-mades. You aren't guaranteed your role, so my wife and I will enter a game planning a duo lane or jungle/mid strat, only to have one of us funneled into our forced secondary choice. I never for a second felt Team Builder was a broken system, it was very catering to casual players. Blind pick is a frustrating alternative, because you go in wanting to play a certain champion or role, only to have to compete with who knows what the other players on your team have in mind. This really has been a huge hamper on our League experience. To my understanding there has all ready been a lot of QQ about this, but I'd like to think if enough people speak up Riot may consider bringing back the joy that was Team Builder.

At the very least, we feel Team Builder is a great alternative to the current draft pick, and should still be a separate entity.

+1 for bringing team builder back

I agree I hate to see teambuilder go...however if they brought it back you would have a super long que time anyways since the player pool will drop significantly from what it was before. Give this time- people still don't understand that they MUST lock in or they will be kicked. It is a little rough right now because it's new but i'm sure we'll get used to it. It is a really amazing feature for ranked I feel.
