I'm thinking of doing a little surprise cake/party thing for a teammate at PAX East

First of all, I hope he doesn't read this.

I play LoL with a group of like 8 or so people rotating pretty regularly. Most of us only know one or two other people from our group IRL. One of the guys we play with has been struggling to get out of Gold since last season, and finally hit plat 5 last night. (yay!)

Anyway, I bought a bunch of PAX East passes for us way back when so a few of us who live in the Northeast could all actually meet up. (This was before I learned Riot wasn't doing a big booth at PAX again this year). A couple other people who I thought would be going weren't able to, so its just me and this other guy (and then we each have some friends who are going). I've only met him IRL once before, but I asked some of the folks we play with who know him better, and they all think this is a great idea.

Here's the idea: At some point over the weekend, have a little surprise party with a cake and a a bunch of strangers in party hats and noisemakers. The cake can say "congrats on plat" or something cheezy. Then everyone eats cake. It would be weird, but fun.

So I'm throwing this out there to see if 1) anyone here is going to PAX, and 2) anyone here who is going to pax would be interested in free noisemakers, party hats, and cake.
