Late-To-The-Party PBE Comments

So I don't really have the time to put these thoughts into the right threads on the Forum for them to actually be seen, so I thought I'd step back into the Community Beta to put them down and see how easy everything is to work with or if there had been any updates to the Beta that required my completely horrible commentary on. These comments come from the few games I played on the PBE to try out the introduced items, the jungle brush changes, see the Nasus VU, and what-have-you.

  • BUG: The pathing direction on the mini-map seemed really buggy to me. I forgot to ask in-game if this was a problem for my teammates, but—for example—c;icking the mid-lane tower from base would only show a white line to the end of the base until I approached it, then it went fine. I also noticed going from Baron towards blue-side mid-lane that the pathing preview had me running straight into a wall. I didn't notice any actual issues with the pathing, though. The line updated as I moved closer to my destination.

Nasus Nasus's VU. I really love the new Nasus look, and I can appreciate that his sounds are more up-to-date, though I do hope there is a traditional skin option available that keep his old voices. Nostalgia ftw. What I DO NOT like, AT ALL, is his new icon. It looks like a purple blob and even after I figured out who he was it was just an eyesore and non-informative on the minimap. His face should stand out more and he should be quicker to identify at quick-glance.

Heimerdinger Heimerdinger's Turrets remaining after death. I played as Heimer and did very well with him, but I have to say his turrets lasting even a half-second after his death is just silly, in my opinion. I can understand how horribly frustrating it felt for the enemy team to successfully gank a vastly-ahead Heimer and get the kill, only for me to have paniced and hit Q a few times as the gank was going down and being rewarded with a triple-kill post-mortem. I understand that a lot of Heimer's damage is those turrets, but staying alive should be the #1 Priority for everyone not Karthus. It felt like I wasn't punished for my poor positioning and over-aggressive pushing and that the other team wasn't rewarded for well-coordinated ganks and picks.
