Riot Points should be refundable

I want to point out something many of you may not be familiar with. I got perma-banned today and wanted to get my RP (or its monetary equivalent) back. However, RP is not refundable apparently.

This is a monetary scam. It is extremely unethical and immoral. Before you stop reading, yes I know, what I did was wrong and it is stated in the ToS that RP is not refundable. However, when you buy something, that is you pay for it in USD (or any currency for that matter), it is YOURS, you can do what you want with it, and your access to that item cannot be determined by another person. When you purchase something, you are trading REAL money for something EQUIVALENT to it. And no one else can infringe upon your right to not be able to use it. This is a fundamental right to all humans. Riot, however, is an immoral company and infringing on that basic right.

Your riot points that you buy, are actually owned by riot. You are handing them free money, for absolutely nothing in return. Just because RP is virtual or electronic does not mean it is imaginary or unreal. I agree that Riot can ban accounts, but by banning and not giving back the money, is just like stealing. Riot is practically stealing your money.

Companies should not be able to do that. All online purchases should be refundable, just like all other merchandise and how it has been in history.

Otherwise, its a scam.

HA!

You're funny mate

Also, you did finish the transaction, you payed the money, you got the RP. Unfortunately, because you broke the rules, you lost access to that RP. It's the same thing where if you break the law, your accounts can be frozen, and you can't spend anything.

It is not a scam as you received RP. But you broke terms of use and your account got locked. Its all in TOS. All that you say now is irrelevant, as you agreed to Riots rules yourself. You knew risks and you accepted them. It would be a scam if there werent legally binding contracts that u basically "signed".

You aren't purchasing a product. You are essentially paying for a service, which would be the right to use that content.

In that respect, it is quite similar to a gym membership. You are paying to use the content, but if you violate their terms of service they have the right to prevent you from accessing them without a refund.
