Illaoi needs a nerf

Holy crap!!! I've yet to face a more cancerous champion top lane. I was playing against her as Wukong. I had my Youmuu's and Dead Man's Plate finished plus Ninja Tabi. She had Steraks and Jarim's fist plus a long sword. I dodged all of her skill shots, used my ultimate on her and ignite and she still some how managed to kill me in an instant. I barely dealt half her HP in damage. How is this not broken? I had better stats, better items, a better fight in general but apparently that doesn't matter when facing Illaoi. This is so frustrating because after that fight she gets Rift Herald and just owns the rest of the game.

Thoughts on Illaoi? Does she need a nerf or am I just a scrub?

i can agree that she is cancer but her slam is easily dodged her e is imposible to hit you if ur behind minions and aslong as you don't bring the fight to her you will be fine wait her ult out kill her tentacles then she is a easy pray

Nope. Not at all. First of all, Wukong is an incredibly good matchup. For her. She has sustain and is tankier and your clone counts as a champion in regards to her ult.

Second, if you dodged all her skillshots + ignited, she shouldn't have killed you in an instant in the first place. Or you fought her inside her ult, which is your problem. If she ults, all you need to do is just instantly run out of it. And it's better to save your clone until after she ults if you can, as an easier getaway.

Also third, you did say she had Rift Herald, which helps immensely and deals (magic?) damage every 100 stacks in a solo lane.

As a level 7 Illaoi player, let me give you a little advice.

Don't engage on Illaoi, like ever. I mean if she is out of mana and low on hp, sure, but in normal terms....

NEVER EVER EVER engage into Illaoi's tentacles.

If you follow that bit of advice, she isn't broken, because she can't engage at all. Pick poke into her, or just roam and make her move away from her tentacles.
