@Anyone - looking for a good (free) course on Hadoop and R

Awhile back, Lyte posted a new position for Riot on the forum boards. I forget the exact title but the subsequent discussion with Lyte lead me to learn about the existence of Hadoop, R, and look deeper into what it means to be a Data Scientist.

At my current job, most consider me an Excel guru due to my math and programming (VBA) abilities, however, I would like to expand on my skill set to continue to improve my current data manipulation, management and interpretation functions.

I did find a quick, simplistic R class on CodeSchool.com but I am done with this now and wondering if anyone out there has any other good (preferably free) classes / guides / reference tools for someone who is mostly 'self-taught' when it comes to programming.
