League is shit, especially compared to what it once was. But it's better than most of what's out there.

I understand this is a meme, but a majority of the players that say this are fed up with Riot and their shitty balancing practices. They continue to play this game for two reasons. For starters they are addicted after having played the game for a long time. Secondly, they have built enough fond memories of when this game was actually fun that they are on borrowed time from the actual quality seasons where Morello was in place and would actually NERF problematic champions. Even sometimes choosing to nerf them to an unplayable or near unplayable state until they could rework them. Old Evelynn and old Urgot for example. Chances are, the people who say this, do in fact play the game less than they used to by a considerable rate.

I myself have said this. I sadly used to play this game for 8+ hours a day back in Season 5 and 6 and even parts of 7. Now when I play I'm pissed off after about 3 games after having to play against champions like Akali, Sylas, Riven, Darius, Renekton, Kai'sa, Ezreal, etc.
