Competitive Integrity: clash vs ranked

Riot 2+ years ago - we really want ranked to be a place with competitive integrity where people play their best against opponents of a similar skill level

Riot today - do you hear something Bob? Me neither. (as thousands of upset players smash on clear glass floor to ceiling windows demanding improvements in matchmaking for ranked games)

Riot today - we really care about competitive integrity in clash. We want everyone to have the chance to experience the closest thing to a pro tournament possible for most players and not allow smurfs or anything like that to ruin it. We warn people ahead of time that having vastly different levels of skills among their pre-made 5+ man roster will result in much harder matches for their teams.

Players today - you care about competitive integrity? Lol. Tell it to me when ranked is balanced. If they can do it with clash, why can't they do it with ranked.

Riot 2+ years from now - Do you hear something Bob?... Forget about boring old clash guys, we'd like to introduce the newest form of league... with a focus on competitive integrity....
