_Hello fine users! _

I will be making **Pokémon cards **for the participants in this event that manage to solve this easy question.

. . . .

If the meaning of Life is 42, what is the meaning of death?

. . . .

hint: the meaning of death is not above 0

Here's a sample of a Pokémon card YOU may be featured in!

It is four. I'm half Japanese, can confirm.

The phrase for Four( 四 )and Death (死 )are both pronounced with the "Shi" sound if you read them a certain way. This occurs because many southeast Asian languages are tonal, meaning that one tone or combination of tones can mean multiple different things.

The term "Shi No Ji" (四の字) is written with the character for 'Four', however it has been associated with death since the Hei-an Period ,平安時代(Literally age of Peace and safety), which occurred over 1200 years ago.

I am also pretty sure that a few other southeast Asian languages have the same tonal similarities between Four and Death.

I'm pretty sure that this explanation isn't that precise, but Jhin is pretty much death in many Southeastern Asian languages.

To go along with what the toastersaot said, I had a Japanese friend who always said shini-shini-goroshi, which is Japanese are the numbers in sequence, 42-42-564, and means "death-death-murder."

A lot of anime and other shows have used this number on doors, or in conversation. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it, but I recall a horror/ suspense film that used those numbers for the hotel room number.

Also, 13 could be argued as well. Most Tarot card decks ( you know, the card decks fortune tellers use ) Death is the thirteenth trump card in most traditional Tarot decks. I know some people who like to try reading cards haha. Anyways, 13 is not just used as a representation of death, in many religions it bares significance. 1 + 3 = 4 in correlation to the cross, "dragon" is said to be in the Book of Revelations (Bible) 13 times, which represents Teemo. Many other 13 blah blah blahs in relation to religion. the Code of Hammurabi, an ancient legal document did not have a 13th law. Also, the number 13 gets a bad rep as being believed to be a highly unlucky number.

I'm saying it's 42. Since that's the meaning of everything.
