IME the people that do well first time tell everyone after the game is over, while the ones that are terrible tell their team at the start. It's like they psychologically do not wish to contribute to the team. And to justify the way they feel they decide to pick something they are new as or aren't good as and hide behind that inexperience to justify their lack of effort.
