Next season, honor 5 will be required to receive ranked rewards

In an effort to decrease League of Legends' reputation a the most toxic community in gaming, it seems they've decided that denying earned rewards to players who made one mistake isn't enough.

This coming season, Ranked rewards will now be locked to anyone who has not achieved honor level 5 by the end of the season. This will encourage people to be kinder to their allies in game, and will certainly greatly diminish the toxicity of the community as a whole.

I for one am happy for the change, because it'll keep those people who are still toxic, but not enough to get punished, out rewards as well. Because frankly, if you can't get honor 5 in a year of player, the odds are you're toxic, just not reported often enough. I hardly chat in game at all and easily got 5 from mostly teamwork honors.

It's only the players who prove they're above and beyond when it comes to being a team player who deserve rewards.

######My hope is that you see this and think, "wow, that'd be unfair. Why should my honor level, which has its own reward and punishment system, dictate my ranked rewards which have a separate system?" Because the unfairness holds true for the fact they made it, with not enough to to climb back up in honor level, a new addition that you cannot be punished even once or you forfeit your ranked earnings. They didn't even opt to test it by making it the second-tier punishment, to see if it would stop people who have been punished once from continuing.

Too bad I'll never get gold. Looks like the only thing I'll ever get from hitting honor 5 is a bunch of keys I won't use because I'm a one-trick and a bunch of BE I'll never use because I have all the champions...
