You were close. The problem is you linked to the imgur page hosting the image, not the image itself. Just follow the link to the imgur page, right click the image, and click "copy image address". Then paste this URL instead. [/img] should work now.
That said, this image seems to be working perfectly fine as is. I am not sure why sometimes linking to the imgur page works and sometimes it doesn't, but it is unpredictable. Maybe it has to do with the size of the image? Either way, this image is working perfectly fine both in the post, as a comment, or on mobile. Thus, it does not need to be updated.
So for future reference, knowing how to link directly to the image is useful as sometimes linking to the imgur page doesn't work. But in this case, it doesn't matter.
