I know why people jumped aboard the censer meta. And the Zyra/Brand/Vel bandwagon before that.
It was solely to avoid having to buy 
(which sucks even more due to lack of fitting mana regen runes)
And honestly, the worst thing is pinging me for being out of position because they cancelled my auto attack on the safe minion by sniping it in front of me.
You forget "NOT TAKING THE LANTERN" jar!!! 
But then again, a jar of that size would crash this website so...
not just adc, midlaners blow all their cds to instaclear the wave everytime you pass by with charges, so tilting
This made me remember when the item was first released, and I had people quit games outraged because I was "stealing their farm".
Yes - I've actually contemplated minion dematerializer just to increase ability to last-hit and get relic shield stacks since people don't want free gold and to share with supports.
Once my adc 
did afk because I killed 2 of the melee minions from the first wave with my relic.
I always allow my relic shield supports to farm, as long as they are not thresh.
I have had like one or two thresh'es that were good at using it under a 3 months time.
The rest just smacked the minion and missed terribly causing it to have died in vain.
Both the gold and a piece of my happiness.
My ADCs have been ABYSMAL this pre-season.
The reason I switched from Leona and Thresh to Janna and Soraka.
