Trying to carry the game as a Toplaner

There's only one carry in the game and its not top. I know that's unpopular, but top, mid, jungle, and support are all there to assist the marksman to carry. Mid (mages at least) are there to soften up the team with big damage. Top, jungle, and support, are there to control the fight (engages, cc, peel, and damage). There is some flex with mid and jungle opting for assassin roles. There are times where taking a "carry" top is wise, but it still doesn't make top the carry. Like it or not a lot of games are decided by who can keep their marksman alive long enough to dish out the damage (at least in my experience).

On a side note: don't get me wrong if top/jungle/support/mid does do the heavy lifting. Sometimes the marksman gets destroyed, but enough happened that someone else can clean it up.

That's why you gotta play kennen baby. Transform your teams inability to correctly target a carry into "I'll just give you guys a minute to blow up everybody." I had a game with him a little bit ago with a malzahar mid who'd walk into melee range / turn around to ult 1 person with 3 people chasing him (while he was capable of escaping unscathed) and my friends and i planned around him being focused first. We let the team walk up to him, he would ult whomever was closest, I would jet it to the backline and ulti while the rest of my team followed up and demolished the carries and clean up the others. It happened every single fight.
