i kinda dawned on me, idk what i'm talking about, but i'm starting to think that maybe, just maybe, 99% of the posts about balance are utter bullpoop. I may very well be wrong, and you're all rght with your assumptions that random flavor of the month champ is OP, but i'm not too sure about it anymore. Just thnk about th possiibility, i mean, what if people who incessantly cry about about balance are wrong? Might be a big shocker. Maybe. Merry christmas, you weird looking, keyboard smashing , ehm, beings. entities.

If you're on the balance team, you came into this job with quite a lot of experience (or you've earned it since your days as an intern at Riot), and you're well-trained to do the difficult task of properly balancing the game. You have data and analysts that help you understand the underlying causes of the meta and various aspects of champion balance.

Meanwhile, the playerbase calls you a monkey and posts uninformed baloney about the game on a daily basis. You get constant posts with opposite opinions asking why you aren't paying more attention, each side completely ignoring the fact that they are asking you to do opposite things to the game.

It takes a different perspective to step back, look at the big picture, and go "well that's kinda fucked up. No wonder they don't talk to us." I think if you make a serious, mature attempt to empathize with the balance team's job, you quickly realize why they aren't more communicative.

The average league player? Yeah, they don't know a whole ton about balance. But even then, they know about as much as most of the balance team seems to know... unless you're going to tell me they intentionally sabotage balance to make certain champs and items give an unfair advantage compared with other options.

Beside that... what does bull poop have to do with balancing a video game? I mean the only bull in the game is alistar and I don't think he even poops in game.

its not 99% its about 85%.. Generally most of the things you coud complain about go agaist champions instead of going agaists Riot other flaws which are a ton..

I don't think anybody knows how to balance the game, player or developer. We're all just coming up with suggestions based on personal opinion.
