When you get the message "A Player you reported has been punished"

the only one i got was like 30 seconds after i exited the lobby i'm pretty sure actually everyone reported him at once

I have gotten three. All pretty recently, considering I have played for many many years and have reported thousands of players.

Yes I am aware they didn't change the system until a little while back. Still.. It does bring me some relief.

What doesn't relieve me is knowing that premade groups with the intent of being toxic and int'ing and flaming are still playing today even though they are clearly toxic and breaking the rules and doing it repeatedly intentionally.

This is especially satisfying immediately after a game where you reported someone.

The bots I reported never got punished...

Ah. I also love that feeling. It's nice doing some justice for this community by reporting the people who ruin the experience for everyone else.
