In all fairness, usually the ones that like the new version more are people that don't like swain.

It's kind of cruel to generalize all the complaints like that.
accurate af. ive also noticed that it seems like most people who are upset about it dont actually care about the champion anyways. as someone for whom lore is extremely important, maybe even the most important aspect, my only 2 complaints were that he didnt have the limp/cane anymore, and that the color is now red instead of the same old green but thats a more minor one. the hair i could have gone either way on and i can see the argument for both sides but its DEFINITELY not as big a deal as everyone makes it out to be rn
I mean, yeah, trivialize it all you want, but they're deleting old Swain entirely and his fans are perfectly valid in being pissed off about it.
Usually think you're a pretty cool dude MM but just because you're interested in playing new edgy Swain doesn't mean you should be mocking people who are upset with their character being basically deleted.

I mean, people are going to be mad about this one. This is Sion levels of rework change here, not something like WW or Galio that hold the same spirit of the original. He's gone from a (poorly) portrayed tactician style commanding champion that was largely Raven and I guess lovecraftian inspired style to... eldritch battle mage?
It just feels like they missed a lot of opportunity, and are removing a lot of what made swain what he was without really replacing or representing it well. If anything I'd say him looking a lot like Vlad in both style and color pallet just makes me more mad that they allowed that, but changed the blitz skins to having the waddle walk cycle because "visual clarity" lol.
Legitimately asking, how he is an improvement all round. Asking because I honestly do not know how that can be said. I can see if someone said they think the new Swain is better then the old but just sayings it's flat out better in everyway feels wrong.

The only "complain" I have (not much of a complain but more of a statement) is that new Swain looks like they merged Vlad and Swain into one character. I personally don't mind, they could even remove Vlad altogether and I wouldn't be opposed.

I've seen nothing but praise for the new swain rework besides his hair on the front page. His hair (in my opinion) wasn't even a complaint, just a thing people memed about him.

I can’t complain, I personally like the new lore of his character and his lines are very fascinating, I do admit when I first saw his look I thought it was something for Vlad but I still like his look, also can’t get over the fourth panel of this post , I find the bird’s expression so entertaining for some reason, I adore it.
I miss old Trundle...
I'm surprised a (former) Morde main would post about champ changes being less than desirable.
