You know, it isn't very nice to point that out. Caitlyn was just trying to set traps one day, but something scared her, and she stumbled back, getting her leg caught in one of her traps. The doctors did the best that they could, and everything is still functional, but they weren't able to align it properly because the trap crushed part of the bone. You gotta look past minor cosmetic defects. It's the person on the inside that matters.

The shin is one of those places where, depending on the specific stylizing, you are almost guaranteed to see curves where they have no right to be. Even the dudes get in on this particular exaggeration fairly often, though such flair in general is usually reserved for female characters, for reasons which are both obvious and unfortunate.

You'll find that a lot of Riot's splash art has similar... mechanical difficulties, resulting from stylistic touches, but thankfully I've never seen them use the infamous "woman bending forward at the waist and then bending her spine at least ninety degrees backward to show of her T&A simultaneously" pose. Makes my own back hurt just thinking about it.
