When you take near an hour writing a gameplay thread. And that one guy who just wants to stroke his opinions and ego so he decided to be the official postslayer and downvotes any thread if it even looks like it approves against something he beleives in, even in title alone. Definitely awful. Happens to me all the time.
It's too hard to spark a good discussion about issues you care about. The boards needs to be better at preventing a singular downvote fairy or post slayer from dooming a post to obscurity.
Posts really have to 'go viral' in order to survive here. And for that to happen they have to be controversial or circlejerk. Plus they have to be posted during prime time.
They don't even reply, just smash that dislike button

Or when there is a -4 score, and people are automatically inclined to assume you don't know anything/view your post more critically. And downvote more.
Try to make a champion or rework concept. There's 99% chance it's shitty and downvote-worthy even before you actually come up with it.
I know that feel man. I can't count the number of posts I've made weather they are lore based, skin ideas or kit update ideas/ opinions that end up getting 1-2 down votes and end up sinking into the abyss of the 2nd page of that respective section :L
