Being Demacian, I guess I'd have two choices: accept the request or be tried for treason... so...

Ezreal : (Whistles as he approaches the guard station and hands the guard his papers before setting down his backpack. Documents appear to be of Piltovian origins with matching travel authorizations.)

"Yikes. I'm gonna take a bit of a guess and say that this wasn't your first choice of duty. Still, gotta give you credit for your work ethic. I've got waaaaaaaay too many other things I wanna see to stick in one place for too long."

(Pulls out a gold stopwatch from his pocket and flips it open. The guard can't see what's inside, but the young traveler's seem to soften, and his grin grows even wider. Whatever's inside, it draws his attention away from his backpack... which appears to be moving.)

All is quiet in the outpost for some time. The gentle spring breeze drifts through the open windows, caressing the defined cheeks of the lethargically bored border guard.

The guard can see a field rat making a mad dash for the outpost. Odd behavior for a normally reclusive rodent. The sizeable critter zig-zagged between patches of tall grass before bolting for the doorway.

SQWAK!

A literal blur of azure feathers and talons slammed down on the field rat with a resounding thud at the very threshold, the bladed nails and momentum killing the field rat instantly. Not seeming to notice the guard, the massive blue eagle starting ripping into its lunch with a gusto, golden accented plating of undeniable Demacian craftsmanship shining amidst all of the dark shades. A now bloodspeckled beak cleanly severed the rat’s head from its body with a clearly audible “SNAP!” shortly before the bird’s intense eyes leveled with that of the guard’s, the decapitated head hanging from the side of its mouth.
