To be fair, Arthas was entirely correct. It was Jaina and Uther abandoning him because of this decision that sent him to the point of no return in his heart. I would however argue that Arthas handled Uther's insubordination badly and if he had done that better then he may not have scared off Jaina.

He didn't even try to explain himself to Uther, he acted like time was of paramount importance when it was not. He was being too emotional.
