We can CLEARLY see they are of the same species, and if so every who hates the skin can rejoice, because if things go the same as Madoka Magica didn't Ahri won't have much time before she become a 9 tailed battery.

Kiko is just supposed to be a fox since Ahri is a fox. Kyubey is an alien thing and is more cat like than fox like.

Star Guardian skins have always had Madoka mixed in, considering all the magical girls have signed a contract of some sort (refer to Madoka Magica situation; worse SG Jinx only signed it because "tl;dr"), and that SG Lux has a hairstyle that's identical to Madoka's.
