It's 100% true.
From my experience:
Silver player will dive the enemy team to kill someone that's not worth much gold then argue with their team about not backing him up
The gold player will be eternally toxic about the silver elo players elo while him too will feed to silly shit
The plat player will quietly afk while they argue hoping the match ends quicker and that the others won't notice how boosted he is because he was the first one to feed
The unranked Guys during the game: don't give up! we can still win this. At the status screen: pls report my whole fucking team worst fucking team in this entire game THEY ARE ALL GARBAGE!
Yep, agree, gold and plat is the same shit
Honestly there is a huge problem regarding losing tiers. It gives you AN EXCESSIVE shield and so there are a lot of shit players at ALL tiers of the 5th division. Tbh, Im now d3 and I have to say that my best games were in the G3 0 lp ----> G2 100 lp region. That and maaayyybe plat 4.
i used to wonder why every one called d5 trash until i learned thats where the boosted people tend to end up.
For some bizarre reason, I looked at a booster site as inspiration for something witty to remark to this post, and while I didn't find anything remarkable, the way a lot of people complain about "boosted monkeys" and so on and so forth in Diamond makes me wonder if anyone actually can even consider paying upwards of $1300+ to be considered "ok" (assuming starting from Bronze V) to even consider it worthy to joke about.
But then I remembered this is 'Memes & Games' so I just said , 'eff it, upvoted' and went along my Garbage-tier way.
