-What is your opinion of the moderation of M&G these last 3 months?
This includes your opinion of the M&G Wardens (Laughing Fish and Melledoneus), your opinion of the recent rule changes, etc.
Laughing Fish is neither Laughing nor a Fish. Nor is he funny, humorous, or even tolerable. And your Shenpai sucks, Melledoneus. He can't make even half-decent crust, let alone a good pie. He once tried to put cherries in a pizza, since he thought that's how you made cherry pie. Gods, this is why Pantheon's the baker, not Shen!
...Okay. Now, seriously. You're both chill. I honestly don't see you two do much besides steal top comment from me react with hilarious gifs and comments, and shitpost post memes. If that's because this is a more tolerable board, meaning you don't need to do anything, or if it's because you're just not too obsessive, I don't know. But I like it.
There is the issue of Gameplay drunkenly stumbling into M&G, either to comment that Janna/Tristana/Twitch/Whatever's broken, or to post that, in the thinnest of disguises as a meme. However, they usually vanish off the face of the earth, as they face hoards of downvotes, banishing them from sight, to the depths of where all but a select few Player Behavior posts end up.
The rules are fine as-is. Although we do need the scientifically proven definition of what constitutes a meme. Beyond the joke there, there is the serious side of it, where we do need to know where the line between a meme and other discussion is. When is it a joke about the meta, that encourages some thought an discussion, or when is it a discussion that includes a joke? Where's the line between the two? That's the biggest thing I think any of us want to know.
That, and we all need a separate font for sarcasm. /s needs to automatically put our post or selection into said sarcastic font. That way we can differentiate what is meme, and what is serious. Because there is still some serious in this realm.
-What do you think we could do to better improve and grow this section?
(This includes rule changes, possible events, etc.)
I think we could use a bit more emphasis on the "games" part of M&G. We have many, MANY memes. Enough memes to fill a trilogy. Enough memes to write your doctoral thesis on Memeology. But so few games. The closest thing we have is the favorite champion thing that that one guy has posted. Maybe some challenges, maybe some other fun, interesting things. Other votes, to determine this vital information. Maybe some kind of forum game. I have no idea what we could do, but that's my idea.
Don't really think any rules are needed, but we should probably suggest that downvotes be used not for "bad" memes, but solely for those things which do not belong. If a meme's just not funny, but is clearly a meme, it shouldn't be downvoted. This is clearly not for my own benefit, so that I may be able to finally reach the front page
