How To Be A Classic Low Elo Player
Hey everyone. Now as you probably don't know I'm only silver 4, and therefore I'm a pile of shit at this game. However, what separates me from most other silvers/low-elo players is that I at least know how to actually make a strategy, actually use macro game, know champion mechanics and blablabla, build and whatever. For the record, I will be considering platinum as "high elo" (even though yes I know plenty of people say D2 and above is the only 'high elo'), since riot officially recognizes Plat as "high-elo" (even though I've seen some very weird plat plays). I'll be covering different parts of the game that low elo players tend to focus or not focus on. Oh yeah, just saying that this "guide" is super long, so if you make it through then congratulations :).
P.S- Please remember that this is only a joke, and I'm not trying to sound toxic lol
Micro vs. Macro
An important aspect of league of legends is micro vs macro gameplay. For those of you who do not know micro and macro gameplay, micro gameplay is essentially the observable skills of a player, such as their mechanics with a specific champion or whatnot. MACRO is generally not observable, and measures a player's game knowledge and decision making skills, such as their vision control and ability to cause wave pressure. Something that many people in low elo DO have is micro. However, many low elo players forget about the macro parts of league. Take an example of a macro play that can happen in a low elo game. Let's say you're a Garen toplane and you have a Lee Sin jungle. He ganks at level 6 and you get your enemy laner (let's use Singed just for an example) gets killed. Your Lee then suggests pushing in a wave or two towards turret since the enemy jgler is bot. Since your enemy toplaner just died, this means that your jungler is now applying wave pressure by pushing into turret. This also gets your laner ahead, since you pushed in a wave or maybe even two with 2 people, and your toplaner should at least be a level ahead of the Singed. ANOTHER addition to this is that with the wave pushed in and the enemy wave JUST respawning, if Singed wanted all that experience from that big wave of minions being killed by turret instead of having to wait to rush to lane, he would have to use his teleport in order to CS under the turret. You are now ahead of your lane. So, this sounds like something smart to do, right? Oh but wait, you're a low elo player who doesn't give a crap about your jungler other than ganks. To be a proper low elo player, what you SHOULD do is ping your jungler to back off. That way, you won't be able to push in as hard. As well as this, that means your waves will most likely crash with the enemy and the lane would just freeze. That way, your laner can just respawn without blowing any summoners to lane and get relatively the same experience as you. Congratulations! You played like a moron, allowing your enemy to catch up in CS and exp. Good job, bronzie! Just make sure to completely ignore smart macro plays, and you'll be sure to stay bronze for the rest of the season.
Builds
Another big part of League is building properly. You might see champions like Nunu building something like a Knight's Vow or Locket of the Iron Solari when he was in a game with a 10000000/0 Tristana. You might even see champions build not-so-traditional first items, such as a Ryze building an Abyssal Mask instead of a Rod of Ages. Now, people who are SMART would instantly recognize that Nunu was simply trying to peel for Tristana, and that Ryze was probably facing a strong AP threat and had an AP jungler he was probably trying to peel for. However, this is low elo. No one knows what peel is, and no one knows how to build correctly. So, the trick to being a low elo player is to build the same damn thing every time. You see a 5000000 health Vladimir as an ADC that's running around with and insta killing everyone, healing all his health back in one Q? Hm, it's not like there's a rather cheap item that can debuff that healing by a good 40%. Oh, I know! It's an executioner culling, and it reduces healing by 40% for an entire 3 seconds, the same cd as his Q, and it only costs 800 gold! Oh, I forgot, you're low elo. What THAT means is that you should rush a shiv on Tristana without even getting a BF sword first, because in order to be a TRUE low elo player, you have to build the same thing every game without any situational items. You're an 0/8 Talon? Let's build Stormrazor, because that item is SO good when you're behind, right? Oh, you're against a full AD team as a MaoKai with a 10/0 Draven who already has a Bloodthirster AND Stormrazor? Well, I guess it's time to rush Abyssal Mask and Merc Treads! Remember, since you're bad, you can't act like a smart person. Get it? Got it? Good. Let's move on.
"Broken" Champions
There are always champions that seem particularly strong in higher elos, such as Ryze and Azir, and for some reason, champions such as Garen fall off in high elo. I wonder why? All I know is that it definitely doesn't have to do with high elo players knowing how to counter Garen and that simple kits aren't as effective in high elo. Now, this should be obvious, but there are some champions that are typically strong in every elo. A good example is Talon, at least currently. Talon is very strong right now, with Tiamat being a strong item and his build with Stormrazors being very strong. He also has a good early game and roams, which is GREAT in the current meta. So, Talon is successful in almost every elo. However, there are specific champions that are considered "broken" in low elos. These champions are.... -Riven -Yasuo -Zed -Fizz -Talon -Kha'Zix -Rengar -Master Yi -Basically any other champion who has one shot potential
Now, the normal player could find easy ways to counter these champions. You could CC Master Yi, build tabis against Yasuo, wait till late game in order to just completely doodoo on Talon, etc. However, as a classic low elo player, your job is to complain about these champions, telling the enemy who is fed on them that they suck in all chat. Speaking of all chat, let's move on to our next topic.
Toxicity
As a stereotypical low elo player, you're expected to be toxic. Your toplaner is basically useless? Well, actually, no one gives a crap about top so maybe I'll let that one slide lol.vHey everyone. Now as you probably don't know I'm only silver 4, and therefore I'm a pile of shit at this game. Picking & Counterpicking Now, as we all know, picks in draft are very important. It's what lets us ban the champions we have a hard time beating and seeing if our team comp sucks and being willing to dodge for it. Now, something that also comes in draft is the situational picking. Some champions are better than others in certain scenarios. For example, Rammus is good against a primarily AD team, or vice versa with Galio being good against primarily AP teams. However, to be a proper low elo player, make sure to pick some stupid champion that wouldn't fit in, like let's say a Rammus into a full AP team or Galio against full AD (even though both still can work somewhat well, just not as good as their respective damage type counter). Another big thing is counterpicking. Now naturally, some champions do well in lane or in the game just generally better than others would, or at least, would beat the enemy out. For example, a smart player would probably pick someone like Fiora vs Jax, since Fiora's W counters Jax E, or maybe a Lissandra against Fizz, because your ult completely counters his ult, and you get free harass against him with his E, which you can always just W after his second proc. However, for a low elo player, you HAVE to pick anything, even if it's stupid. See that you're laning vs Zed and their entire team is AD? Wow, playing Kassadin sounds like a great idea! Anyway, remember that as a classic low elo player, you have to make sure to do moronic picks and "counterpicks" to borderline throw the game before it already started.
Well, I hope you learned all that you need to maintain a low elo! Remember, this guide was just a hell load of sarcasm. Don't take it seriously. Also please don't report this I don't want to be banned lmao. Notice how this is under memes and games.
