Tbh league is like smoking, It's fucking cancer but it's hard to quit
i have gone on a very very long break before, basically i had quit the game and came back, but that was really just because i didnt need it distracting me from stuff in my life that i had to deal with and also i was salty at i think the shen rework, i cant even remember. he was my favorite top laner for a while and i was a big fan of his old kit aside from the weirdly narrow e hitbox. anyways though yeah most of the time when people say theyre quitting over XYZ reason in my experience it means "im not gonna play for like 2 months"

The preseaon its bad even riot agree and they would try to fix it...but the problem is not the "new" chaos
Is that supports are still broken ADC are still BROKEN and on top of that we add even more snowball DAMAGE so when the enemy ADC have 1-2 kills early the game is over right there
Tanks runes are useless and so on...
So yeah that why people going away not because of the preseason but because even in preseason the retarded bot meta its still the meta and it get stronger

Well the board isn't exactly 10 people, BeatzBoys. I'd say at least half of the 27189 people who say they are quitting didn't but I'm sure a lot of them did. Almost everyone in my friend list hasn't logged in for at least a year now, and some of them did they were going to quit. It's not like we're seeing the same bobjoe username pretending to quit once a week, these are different accounts. Maybe it's that kind of 'haha! you'll be back no matter what they/we do to the game!' thinking is why people are so tilted these days.
I really want to quit league...but I've invested so much time and money (about 1k...) into this game that throwing my account away is no longer an option. I'm here to see it through but that doesn't mean I'll like it.
Most people only come back because of their friends pick up lol or they hope the games state will get better.
Also how many people do you know quit the game and have come back? Do you keep a record of all the players that make quitting threads?
I've honestly never seen anyone come back to lol.
If someone did I'd imagine they are doing so in between game releases. I bet the holiday season ins't the best time for Riot Games since so many new things will be coming out drawing away attention.
