Skin Stereotypes

######Note: I posted a similar post to this on the League Amino app a brief while back, I figured I would now post it here because why not? Also, this more fits into the category of a boards game than it does Story, Art, and Sound, that's why I'm putting it here.

Have you ever noticed how you can often tell what kind of player someone is going to be based on what skin their using? For instance, I've seen Dunkmaster Dariuses to have 50/50 chance of being really immature or completely chill and Arclight Vaynes tend to overestimate their skill (which tends to get them killed more often than not).

Well, I figured it would be interesting if we could put together as many stereotypes for common skins as we could. Here's how it's gonna work:

  1. Select a few skins (one that you or your main uses are preferrable, but any skin will do) that share common traits among the players.
  2. Post those skin(s) and their stereotypes that you've seen.
  3. Take note that this is about skins, not champions. Yes, the stereotype for Yasuos is that they're salty but everyone already knows that, point out stereotypes for specific skins instead.

OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMER BECAUSE THERE'S BOUND TO BE ONE OR TWO PEOPLE WHO WILL GO OVERBOARD WITH THIS! A stereotype, as defined by Google, is "a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing." Which means that it is true in most cases but not all of them. So don't get too offended if your favorite skin has a negative label and don't take everything on this post as set in stone since there's going to be an exception to every rule.

As maker of this post, I'll go first, starting with a few of my main, Poppy.

Lollipoppy This guy longs for the days when this skin evoked terror and uncontrollable fear into the hearts of those victimized by it. Chances are, they're going to spam dance to show off her creepy smile and they're usually able to completely curbstomp you since they're a long-time Poppy player.

Noxus Poppy One trait I have seen common among these skins is that they rage against the meta. Not that they necessarily hate it, but they always go off-meta, such as mid or full AD. It's up in the air how that'll turn out for them but it's kind of funny to watch.

Star Guardian Poppy I wish I had something more positive to say about this skin... But those who use it are usually pretty bad at Poppy (Don't lynch me! Hear me out, ok?). They often pop Steadfast Presence in the middle of combat as if it granted them active damage reduction instead of saving it for the movement speed/dash-halting capability and they're scared to death of teamfights, hanging in the middle or back and too far from the frontlines. Watching them closely shows that they have the habits of a ranged champion which makes me suspect they simply got that skin to finish the Star Guardian collection but aren't familiar with tanks or fighters since the Star Guardians are almost solely mages, marksmen, and supports with Poppy being the only exception.

Scarlet Hammer Poppy This person plays Spiral Knights. Nuff said.

Battle Regalia Poppy This skin used to be a lot less common until it got the chroma pack giving it the variety of Elementalist Lux, making it pretty much the go-to for a Poppy main/secondary. Thus, they're at the very least, decent with Poppy.

Anyway, that's my contribution, go ahead and comment some common stereotypes you've seen with various skins. And make sure to upvote this post if you want more people to see, and thus, comment stereotypes they've noticed. Thanks!

Definitely not udyr: Will probably go full tank, split push like hell and almost guaranteed to start emote spamming while running away and still survive with a SLIMMER of health

Hextech singed: is a amazing singed player but stingy with rp hence the low cost skin

Curling veigar: you are probably never going to see this but if you do then their either going to wreck you with them due to playing old school league of legends or they got it in a hextech chest and that's the best skin they have for veigar

Risen fiddlesticks: purchased the champion to use the skin they got in a hextech chest (any fiddle play worth their salt would use suprise party or dark candy)

Riot kayle: relatively new to the champion and only got the skin (and possibly champion) for free
