Your teammates don't even have to take the portal. They can just choose not to go. I use the portal all the time to try and do a pincer attack.
But your teammates will take it.

It's fun to play Ryze and teleport your whole team AND 5 super minions to tank while you proceed to ace them in their own fountain

In my last match Ryze tried that and I let him take me into fountain because I thought we could end but then their inhib respawned... We still won though. The match was decided early and I just wanted to have some fun.
Except they dont becuase i recently watched a ryze do this, the entire enemy team tanked fountian for 10 seconds, was insane, even the ADC walked it off like nothing.
I do this with tahm... if i played ryze i'd do it with him too :X
