my solution that helped me a little, find a mate that gets consistent S's, play champs you havent got chest with yet, dont feed so your mate can carry or at least get his S, gg

Even worse is when you have too many keys, then go on a good run and end the day with too many chests... There's never a balance!

Most of my friends have this problem but all of them have a shallow champion pool that they are good at. Whereas my problem stems from playing too many champs giving me too many chests. :P
Sitting on lots of chests, get bored, buy key. Repeat. Monthly reset hits, suddenly sitting on several keys. Proceed to spend all night trying to get a chest with aatrox top (10/1 with most cs isnt good enough). Proceed to go even, buy sightstone just before winning, system gets confused and gives me S-
I trade chests for keys, i'm willing to give up 5 chests for 1 key shard, pm me if interested.
I usually play with my sister or some other bronze/silber friend and pick some random champ to score easy S's. This way, not only me, but the people I queue with get chests ;)
