You were close. You linked to the imgur page hosting the image, not the image itself. Paste that URL into your browser to go to the imgur page. Then right click the image and select "Copy Image Address" (wording varies by browser). Paste this URL on the boards. And since it is an imgur image, make sure to add [/img] to the end.
For example,
https://i.imgur.com/0k0uijg.jpg[/img]
Will be:
https://i.imgur.com/0k0uijg.jpg[/img]
