Self-proclaiming is redundant. "Look at the history of my past games, I know what I'm doing" is a favorite of mine. I'm always like, yeah sure, good for those games, but those games aren't the one you're playing now. It's redundant, since it's a separate experience with possibly entirely new people.
The problem with these things is that it usually makes the jungler ignore their lane because they were fine right? Instead of getting them ahead early so they actually are. Meanwhile the enemy jungler turns out to be a duo with their lane opponent and camps them into submission. With no counterganks coming in because "screw that guy, he said he would carry".
