Earlier today Korean's renowned esports team "T1" made the stunning announcement that they would be branching out into the area of Riot Game's "Team Fight Tactics" in an effort to expand their range and create more of a professional scene for the popular auto battler genre. In a press conference today, T1's CEO Joe Marsh seemed more than excited to share this vision with the many fans the team has garnered over the years.
"We thought many would enjoy seeing T1 represented at this year's Worlds TFT. We hope to find our fans there watching us just as they do every Worlds for League of Legends proper," he said smiling.

Even more startling was the announcement that T1's very own Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok would be participating in the very same event this year.
"We know our fans love Faker, and we figured that having him be one of our representatives this year would really bring out that respectability we hope to bring to the genre," he stated happily.
In an interview with Sang-hyeokafter the conference, "Faker" was able to share his own thoughts on this decision.
"I was joking with 'Caps' from G2 and we made a bet that whoever lost the match would have to compete in the TFT Worlds competition next year. Oh well, it will be a nice break anyway," he said stoically.
While Joe Marsh wasn't able to verify these claims about the nature of Lee Sang-hyeokafter's involvement with TFT Worlds 2020, he did state it was an idea brought to him by the esports athlete.
"It was a great opportunity. I got an email from the athlete requesting he be put in the TFT Worlds competition this year and I was more than excited to let him," he brightened.
While many questioned whether or not Sang-hyeokafter would compete in the 2020 League Worlds, Sang-hyeokafter didn't seem to be too worried about training.
"While I'm sure many fans are interested, I don't really see how this will interfere with my training. I like to have fun in most of my streaming games, so I will just play more TFT on stream," he said with a smirk.
Time will tell if "Faker" will be able to handle both the stresses of Worlds 2020 and TFT Worlds 2020 this fall, set only months apart.
"I really like the penguin with the sword, though I might go Qiqi because she is cute," Faker commented. Tearing up both Summoner's Rift and Team Fight Tactics, Faker will bring a fire to all facets of League of Legends.
