Why do people play Kai'Sa in ranked?

I'm going to start banning Kai'sa just so my teammates can't feed.

She's strong. And she's getting buffed, because Riot learnt nothing from Ornn.

I played her for the first time and she felt so weak and her kit made no sense what so ever. I don't understand the living weapon part and I don't know how it works. They don't tell you anything about it. All I see is a bar at the top of the HUD. I think it has to do with what items you build but that's it. I understand she's supposed to be late game and you may be thinking " "you suck as a late game carry but I play and do ok. I don't main these guys but I play them if im in normals or I get auto filled adc.

I dont care about flex queue so I've been spamming her in the jungle despite her having no real gank or counter jungle pressure. If I'm allowed to get 3 or 4 items, we pretty much won.

She does pretty well late game. Getting there has just been tough.
