This is honestly the first step to climbing, tho.... all jokes aside.

The minute you realize your team mates are going to be a bunch of monkeys who don't know their mouse from their asshole, and abandon all expectations for them to do anything logical literally ever -- the minute you start worrying about your own play and what YOU can do to win the game, and stop worrying what everyone else is doing or caring what everyone else is doing.

That's actually a huge step in becoming a better player -- a step A LOT of players NEVER take.
