I never understood this statement. Like, I don't care how much skill a champ in league, a deck in mtg, hearthstone, etc takes. Does it win/is it fun? All that matters to me.
I suppose it's self serving to claim something takes no skill while you sit on a black screen waiting to respawn. Sometimes you just have to vent out frustration or give yourself an excuse to put you back on your feet. It's a pity that people resort to that rather than preventing the situations that caused them to die to begin with though.
I play games for personal enjoyment, not to prove myself to random strangers. I don't really care how much skill they perceive me having.
