Pros of giving blue to your mid laner: They can hard push wave, it gives them better wave clear, and they get their abilities out more often. Even the likes of Zed benefit from the energy regen and CDR.
Because they can push the wave easily, they also have the potential to join you in your invades in the enemy jungle. While the enemy mid laner is stuck getting farm at his (or her) tower. They can also join you in case you get invaded in your jungle more easy. And they can also more easily rotate and roam to other lanes.
Its a team game afterall, and if you play as a team, everyone benefits.
But then again, every game must have an asshole that things everything belongs to him. In this game, it just happens to be the jungler.
And yes, I know its memes and games. But to many people are doing what you are suggesting seriously (not giving blue to their mid). I am playing Katarina and Akali, we don't give a shit about blue (ok, akali might a litttttttle bit).
But almost everyone else requires it to be good for their team. And junglers thinking its theirs for the taken isn't helping the team at all.
It is your teams blue not yours. I had junglers gank my lane, take kill and cs.
