[Champion Suggestion] Ashe and Talon Innates Swapped

Ashe has a terrible Innate (level 1 passive) for a AD Marksman that is supposed to be constantly be doing damage due to being an auto attack based champion.

Basic Description of Ashe's Innate:

Focus

If Ashe has not attacked in the last 3 seconds, she gains 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 Focus stacks per second. At 100 stacks, Ashe will critically strike on her next basic attack. Thereafter, Focus stacks will reset to an amount equal to her critical strike chance.

Meanwhile Talon has a terrible Innate (level 1) passive for an AD Caster Assassin that is supposed to bid his time before landing the coup de grâce.

Basic Description of Talon's Innate:

Mercy

Talon's autoattacks deal 10% additional damage to any target that is slowed, stunned, immobilized or suppressed.

If we swapped these Innates with each champion then it would provide substantially more kit synergy, also he only has one type of CC that is on a mild cooldown to activate Mercy, the ability Rake.

Ashe can regularly use her Frost Shot slow to activate Mercy, along with Volley applying Frost Shot regardless of the toggle and Enchanted Crystal Arrow's slows to further mesh with the Innate. In addition, the bonus damage, unlike Corki's True Damage, can critically strike on basic attacks. This further differentiates herself from other Marksman(women). An ironic argument is also that Ashe regularly goes on about not mistaking mercy for weakness, but this is mostly for lore rather than gameplay.

Talon on the otherhand, revolves around burst along with being a potent roaming champion allows him to use Focus effectively. This is due to him only entering combat when he is sure he can 100 to 0 the enemy champion. However, Focus may need to be tweaked to allow for Talon to more easily use the Innate due to the lack of building critical strike chance. A side note is that Noxian Diplomacy's bonus physical damage would be considered an auto attack from an ability, but the bleed cannot be affected by Focus.

I would prefer to give Talon more stealth synergy with his kit, but I'll have to find a better method to handle the stealth system as a whole before suggesting sweeping changes. Focus, for now, is a good way to hold Talon over. This lets us shift the terrible damage bonus on Cutthroat to his Innate so Talon doesn't feel compelled to open with his primary CC and escape for bonus damage.

Ashe's new Innate:

Mercy

Ashe's autoattacks deal 10% additional damage to any target that is slowed, stunned, immobilized or suppressed.

Talon's new Innate: (work in progress)

Focus

If Talon has not attacked in the last 3 seconds, he gains 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 Focus stacks per second. At 100 stacks, Talon will critically strike on his next basic attack. Thereafter, Focus stacks will reset to an amount equal to his target's current % health.

Focus is refreshed to 100 stacks when Talon enters stealth.

Ashe's seems a little strong to me.. I mean, Frost Shot/ Volley would not only have that nasty, nasty slow, BUT do 10% increased damage? Ouch.

Not a fan. With Ashe thematically it doesn't really fit and with Ashe she's just going to have a damage amp up all the time, there's no gameplay or decision making in that.

Talon might be ok, i'd like to change it so that it charges from movement like Static Shiv and Yasuo.

Actually if Ashe's passive crit went up from moving around instead of just waiting that would be huge, I would much prefer that. RITO PLZ!

This was posted a long time ago on GD. (Maybe by you?) I still like it.

Talon with a garunteed crit in his combo, scary.

I typically like suggestions like this, but you DO realize that you just gave Talon, not one, but two guaranteed crits when he full combos, right?

E->W->Q(crit)->R->AA(crit)

100% agree with Ashe, but not 100% sold on Talon's new passive.

good idea

Like I said, Talon's is a work in progress and I will need more time and feedback to play with i. Whether he can get two critical in his combo off for example, or rather just a flat damage bonus on an ability via X mechanic (possibly waiting X seconds before attacking).

However, the general idea is there in that we are shifting the damage bonuses from Cutthroat and Mercy into Focus.

When stealth mechanics are better streamlined I'd prefer to give Talon better stealth synergy with his kit while baking the power of Cutthroat's damage modifier and Mercy into said stealth.
