Where did the spell vamp go?

The largest thing that has made me unhappy about the new patch is the basically elimination of Spell Vamp as an ability that can be itemized effectively. On true AP casters, the only option to build at this point is now Will of the Ancients, as the other two items (Guinsoo's Rageblade and Hextech Gunblade) are both hybrid type items and not efficient to build on casters.

This has especially ruined playing Vladimir for me, as I feel like the lack of spell vamp reduces his sustain to the point where he's no longer viable.

I would really like either an introduction of a new item or to have Spell Vamp effects placed on an already existing item, to give some relevance to this skill again.

So you went down from 1 option to 1 option. END OF THE WORLD.

To elaborate - noone was building WoTa because Spectral was better for life steal. Now they changed WoTa and Spectral has no life steal. It's the EXACT same amount of viable options.

@Freezman13 you are incorrect.

Spectral Wraith loss 20% spell vamp. Wota always had 20% spell vamp.

Therefore everyone went down from 2 options to 1. END OF THE WORLD.

To elaborate- You buy both items and had 40% spell vamp now you only get 20%.

To elaborate more- Lots of people bought Wota and its not called life steal, Its called spell vamp. Thanks.

I find it troubling that I can stack lifesteal to a good percent depending on gold, but I can't stack spellvamp thanks to unique passives.

They could at least treat it like CDR, having it cap at around 50%, give or take 15%.

I'm just saying sometimes I go for lower damage but more sustain and this sudden lack of spellvamp kinda makes my vampire side sad when playing AP's.
