[Guide Resource] Champion Counters (Elise-Karthus)
####What is a [Guide Resource]?
I found myself needing to find a bunch of reference material for things like counters, game timelines, wombo-combos, support-carry synergies and anything else that can be useful to teach, but too large a topic to splice into a guide. Hence [Guide Resource]. In this post series, I compile general knowledge topics that may prove useful to be a common reference point, for anyone. I plan to constantly refine and update these posts for use for anyone wanting to teach/learn the game, so feel free to use these resources however you see fit, no credit needed. :)
#List of Counters (Elise-Karthus)
Please note that the nature of a counter is make your life easier and the opponent’s life harder, but is nowhere near a certain victory. Do not cry ‘gg’ just because you have been countered, all champions have a chance, simply some better than others. As well, I am assuming normal metas and lanes, I will include junglers and even items if their impact is high enough against a certain champion.
The champions in the Strong or Weak categories are only there as they have at least a notable advantage. Some of these champions that is shown as a picture may be known as a hard counter, specifically a champion that represents most or all of what the described champion is weak to. Some champions simply may not have any either due to meta or the versatility of their kit. These are shown with a '++'.
##Elise
Elise is very versatile, her biggest strengths are her stun, her brief untargetablity and her %health based Q1 and Q2. She can snowball easily if given kills, and she is very good at killing backlines. Anyone who can peel well or simply kite will have an advantage.

Strong Against:

##Evelynn
Evelynn’s chief strength is her stealth, pure and simple. It allows her a great freedom in roaming (lol, what green wards) and great positioning opportunities for her burst. For balance however, she is not nearly as bursty as some, which means she partially relies on her ult’s shield to survive the more uphill battles and teamfights. She survives on killing your backline and showing up at the worst times, so tanky champions and good peeling will have an advantage.

Strong Against:

##Ezreal
Ezreal relies on distance. His kit is entirely skillshots, allowing for a great effective range in return for higher difficulty to actually inflict damage. Anyone who can function well inside a minion wave and close the distance fast will have an advantage.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Fiddlesticks
Fiddle has a very specific kit that relies on single target isolation and cc. Ironically, due to his high amount of channeled spells and short effective cast range he himself is very vulnerable to single target cc himself, as well as anyone who can cleanse his cc.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Fiora
Fiora is what she is, a duelist, and one of the best. Her kit is fiercely single target and emphasizes speed, both movement and attack wise. Her chief strength is the free flat AD she gets form her W, as well as her temporary untargetability her ult provides. She survives via lifesteal, so anyone who reliably deny her damage or burst her at range will have an advantage.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Fizz
Fizz is slippery, irony fully intended. Offensively he is meant to front-load his Q with his W active, lich bane and synchronize with his ult’s damage for the sole purpose of 100-0’ing your face. His E (Playful/Trickster) is his chief survivability mechanic, with tricky maneuvering being a required skill to play him. Anyone who can deny his front-loaded Q, his mobility, or abuse his short effective range (but quick mobility burst) consistently will have an advantage.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Galio
Galio is a veritable storm of offensive and defensive kit areas. His passive (50% MR->AP) and his ult are his higher strengths, making him very vulnerable to high damage AD targets (armor gives him a lot less) but very strong against short range AP’s. Anyone who can stay at range and keep up sustained AD damage to Galio will have an advantage.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Gangplank
GP has several indirect mechanics that he can profit from. His Q gives bonus gold, his W cleanses all depbuffs (ignite included), and his E gives MS and AD. All in all, he can do a little bit of everything, and therefore it’s important to counter his role and not his kit. His damage dealing role (Q-heavy) relies on AD, crit, and sheen’s nature to proc off of and amplify his Parley. His tank role relies on AP for his W heal and his passive slow. His support role depends on his bonus gold, his E’s buff and his ult’s slow. Each role can lead to a different avenue to counter him.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Garen
Garen is a swordsman, and as such if you are close he will make you regret it. His damage relies on his E’s (spin-to-win) ability to crit and apply Black Cleaver, his Q’s absurd AD ratio, and his ult’s anti-tank, flat health missing, mechanic. Defensively his W amplifies any defensive items and his Q allows for easy, but predictable gap closing. Anyone who can abuse his itemization choice will have an adnantage. i.e. ignore his damage (armor/kiting) if he builds tanky or ignore his defenses (burst/isolation) if he builds damage.
Weak Against:

Strong Against:

##Gragas
Between his circle-jerk (passive-W) sustain and his very high AP ratios laning will be more than a hassle against a Gragas. He relies on keeping his % damage reduction (when he finishes channeling his W) to keep himself in the fight and his AoE damage to keep the opposing team down. Anyone who can reliably interrupt his W as well as out-damaging his sustain while simultaneously avoiding his AoE spells will have an even chance.
