Teamspeak, skype?

Why do we need to do the teamspeak skype thing. Why can't we have it in game? I mean sure there will be some toxic kids but you can just ignore. One of my favorite things about x-box live is the easy communication. But would help out tons in LoL as well. "Jungle please don't come you wasting your time i'm out of mana" Why do the duos get such a great advantage when everybody could have it?

The simple fact is an in-game voice option is not only not particularity needed as we've all been dealing relatively well, but I would much rather devote my hearing to pings and Shaco's laugh nearby than a rager or younger community member who doesn't realize we do not want to hear about his life's problems. This won't happen every game, sure, but I would like to keep voice options in the third-party area because voice chat should be saved for people you know and want to play with in arranged teams.

That, and if an in-game voice chat was used, with League being such a communication reliant game, if someone came into your game without a mic or without the desire to contribute to voice chat then they are actively denying you a clear advantage and make him/her ripe for flaming.

Let me go a bit further with this as well.

The moment you introduce a second communication option, you automatically divide the community with those refusing to use either one of the option.

This in turn creates more communication problems.

Then there's the tribunal. First you'll have to go through some legal bullshit and start recording everything being said. Second, this creates a huge ass amount of necessary bandwith usage on the game servers and who the hell would want to go through multiple 30+ minutes of game recording for 1 thing that was said to punish 1 player.

Yeah, voice chat works well in a world where everyone is nice to each toher but in the real world, this "solution" is just terrible. IMO, no voice chat is the lesser of two evils.

After playing xbox live for well over 7 years, the pros it offers are buried far under the cons to the point I don't even use it. Easier than mutting every 12 year old every game.

honestly i agree, but i feel like it would only work without issue, if it was only active through people in your own group... meaning to make use of it you wold have to invite friends to play.. otherwise it becomes just as bad as Xbox live, saddly i agree with kira onime here and i dont know how well it could be done since im sure there are younger children playing this game sometimes and you cant have a chat filter on voice communications.

My friends and I currently use Teamspeak and I enjoy it. I don't have to deal with any trolls. Friends can come and go as they please, no invites like Skype. However, an in-game option would be ideal. Even if it wasn't a global in-game thing, just a voice chat w/ friends would be a step in the right direction. Has Riot ever commented on this topic?

Having an audio chat system would increase the chances of player being verbally harassed by their team. It would be the worst possible thing you could ever add into LoL.

I've been saying this since I started this game, which is recently. I see how no harm can be done, only benefits.

I have played for over a year and this has bothered me. The rest of my ranked team and I use Vent - but it is unreliable and takes a significant amount of work to upkeep. Implementation of a native chat feature is not hard and should be done ASAP Riot.
